Find the correct submission channel

The Greek mission’s UAE contact page directs tourist visa applicants to the Greek visa application centres in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and links the VFS route. Use that official starting point to confirm booking, fees and location.

Check the address on the appointment confirmation immediately before travelling. Do not rely on an old directory entry or another Schengen country’s centre address.

Make an island itinerary understandable

If the trip includes Athens and islands, organise the accommodation chronologically. Include the intended movement between locations in your itinerary. This is a practical way to show a coherent journey, not a demand to buy every non-refundable ferry or excursion in advance.

If the holiday continues outside Greece, identify the main destination before choosing where to apply. A Greek arrival flight does not automatically settle that question.

Match the evidence to the visit

Use the current checklist for tourism, a family visit or business as appropriate. Review identity, UAE residence, funding and employment or sponsor evidence against that list.

Do not invent a Greece-specific minimum UAE salary or rely on a bank-balance claim from an agency. Ask the official centre about unclear documentary requirements.

Allow for the complete timeline

On receipt of the passport

Check the permitted dates and entries before paying for additional travel. A side trip outside Schengen may require another entry when you return.

Greek UAE checklist: statements and work evidence

Greece’s published UAE checklist asks for three months of bank statements with original bank stamps and says internet extracts are not accepted. It distinguishes employees from self-employed applicants, requesting a valid original trade licence for the latter. Greek UAE checklist.

If your bank only supplies digital records, resolve the accepted format before the appointment. See bank-statement preparation for what to ask; do not add a stamp or assume a PDF is accepted.

Residence and children

The checklist specifies three months of residence validity beyond the intended Schengen departure. For minors, it describes parental signatures in front of the visa officer and supporting family documents. Review the complete instructions before arranging attendance.

Private visits versus hotel tourism

The Greek checklist separately addresses a private host’s invitation. If the real trip involves staying with family or friends, describe that arrangement and use the relevant evidence instead of a hotel booking that will not be used.
