Start with one trip, then build one file per person
Choose the country responsible for the real itinerary. A family holiday is normally tourism; visiting relatives may use a different checklist. Every adult and child still needs the application and evidence required for that person.

If one adult pays for everyone
State who pays and the relationship to each applicant. Add the sponsor evidence requested by the destination, but do not omit each traveller’s own identity, residence and circumstances. A shared bank statement does not turn the family into one application.
Children need an early check
Before booking, confirm who must sign, whether the child must attend, and what parenthood, custody or consent evidence is required. Requirements can differ when one parent travels alone or a child travels with another adult. Use the children’s application guide and then the destination’s current checklist.
Germany or the Netherlands for a family
Apply to the country responsible for the trip—not the country with the first available slot. Germany and the Netherlands both use destination-specific UAE instructions and individual forms. Check the official booking flow to see how accompanying applicants are added; do not assume one confirmation covers every passport.
