Book the appointment in the right order

  1. Confirm that the Netherlands is responsible for your real itinerary.
  2. Complete the official Netherlands visa application form. The government page says the form carries a unique code, so do not reuse another person’s copy.
  3. Select the checklist for tourism, business or the actual purpose of travel.
  4. Book through the Netherlands-UAE VFS route. Make a separate appointment for every applicant, including children.
  5. Save the confirmation and check the centre, category, names and passport details.

Open the official Netherlands VFS appointment page.

What happens at VFS

Bring the completed application and all documents on the purpose-specific checklist. NetherlandsWorldwide says every applicant must appear in person. Fingerprints are normally collected from applicants aged 12 and over; follow the current instructions for children and applicants whose biometrics were collected previously.

VFS checks intake, collects applicable fees and biometrics, and forwards the file. Buying an optional VFS service does not improve the decision or create priority processing.

Documents to prepare

The exact list depends on nationality, purpose and personal circumstances. Expect the official checklist to address:

  • passport and application form;
  • proof of legal UAE residence;
  • accommodation and transport plans;
  • travel medical insurance;
  • employment, business, study or sponsorship circumstances; and
  • evidence showing who pays for the trip.

Use our Schengen documents organiser after downloading the official Dutch checklist. It helps arrange the file but does not replace it.

Processing and tracking

The Netherlands VFS UAE portal currently says the average processing period is 25 calendar days and can extend to 45 days. This is not a promise for an individual application. Add appointment waiting and passport return when planning your travel date.

Keep the VFS receipt and reference details. Use the tracking link attached to your own application. A message saying the passport is ready or has been dispatched does not reveal whether the visa was granted; inspect the returned passport and any decision letter.

If no appointment appears

Check only the official Netherlands-UAE VFS account and return later if instructed. Do not change the destination or appointment category merely to find an earlier slot, and do not pay someone who claims to control official availability.

This website is independent of VFS Global and the Dutch government. It cannot see appointment calendars, reserve a slot or influence the decision.
